Cheshire Soccer Club is a community-based, non-profit that provides opportunities to play soccer for children in Cheshire, CT and surrounding towns. In existence for nearly 50 years, our club has programs for children from ages 4 through 19.
Cheshire Soccer Club creates a fun and safe environment that fosters enjoyment of soccer while teaching children how to play the game. We offer programs for novice to advanced players and make every effort to place children in a program that best fits their current abilities. Importantly, we try to give all children the opportunity to play soccer and never turn away a child due to inexperience or limited skill.
While the main emphasis of our programs is on having fun, we also believe that true enjoyment of soccer comes from developing individual skills and understanding of the game. We have designed curricula for all of our programs that teaches children age-appropriate skills. Programs for younger children utilize games and activities to develop skills in a relaxed and fun environment. Programs for older and more serious players employ more challenging activities to develop advanced skills.
Our primary seasons are fall and spring. Fall starts in late August or early September and extends through the beginning of November. In the fall, we offer programs for ages 6 through 14. The spring season start in early April and extends through mid-June. In the spring, we offer programs for ages 6 through 19. During the winter, we offer training programs for ages 6 through 14.
